Philip Kotler – ‘father of modern marketing’ visit Vietnam



During his first visit to Vietnam on August 17, 2007, the ‘world marketing legend’ attended a workshop titled “New marketing for the new age” in HCM City.
The workshop attracted 700 leading businessmen and managers of Vietnam. This is a rare opportunity for Vietnamese businessmen to listen to and talk with Philip Kotler about burning and practical issues for the development of business in the new age.
Born in 1931 in Chicago, the US, Philip Kotler is considered ‘the father of modern marketing’. He is the author of Marketing Management, one of the canon books of the world marketing sector. He is also a pioneer of social marketing and was selected as the fourth most important management guru of all time by the Financial Times, behind Jack Welch, Bill Gates and Peter Drucker.
He is now the top expert of the Kotler Marketing Group and the S.C. Johnson & Son Distinguished Professor of International Marketing at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Philip Kotler came to Vietnam under the invitation of the PACE Education Group.
